Sascha Renninger

Sascha Renninger, from Arnstein, studied communication design with a focus on animation and experimental film and has been working in the film industry nationally and internationally for fifteen years.

His interest in the works of H. P. Lovecraft led him artistically in the direction of cosmic horror. The result so far has been two short films based on Lovecraft’s material. Sascha produces and edits his films himself, adding special effects and creating the sets, props, and monsters with great skill. With minimal financial resources, this multi-talented artist achieves astonishing results, which have already earned him several awards and nominations. “Haunter from Beyond,” now the longest short film in his series, is based on Lovecraft’s “The Haunter of the Dark” and transposes the action to present-day Berlin.

Sascha and the lead actor will be present to demonstrate some of the props.
