Festival Info

From January 30th to February 2nd, 2025, our next festival will take place: the 51st Wuerzburg International Film Festival. Expect full film screenings, sprawling discussions with filmmakers and other film enthusiasts, and clinking glasses.

Venues include both the Central im Bürgerbräu with its three movie theaters, the Keller Z87, the Siebold Museum and the Champagne cellars Höfer. The Maschinenhaus offers box office, catering, information desk and plenty of space to linger, meet and chat.

Lots of feature films, documentaries and short films – all of them international and extraordinary – will be projected on the six screens during the four days of the festival. The carefully curated program comes from the Filminitiative Würzburg, which is also responsible for organizing and running the International Film Festival on a voluntary basis.
