Info about the festival

Dear friends of the Film Festival,

Our cinema doors will open on Thursday afternoon. Before then, we would like to provide you with some useful information about the festival, the schedule, and the venue to ensure you have an enjoyable and relaxing time.

At the Film Festival, you can choose from around 35 feature films, 17 documentaries, two children’s and youth films, and two short film blocks. The program comprises a total of around 55 films, most of which will be shown twice, with some films being shown once or three times. We are looking forward to welcoming numerous filmmakers again this year, in particular director Christian Petzold. Information on all films and their screening times can be found in the film guide, on our website at www.filmwochenende.de, or in the screening schedule, which will be available at all venues and in the Maschinenhaus during the festival and can also be accessed online. On the website, the “Program Overview” with numerous filter functions allows you to put together your own personal film program.

Tickets & Prices

Multi-tickets: These have been available since the beginning of December in limited advance sales in versions of 5 and 10 tickets. Please note that multi-tickets must first be exchanged at the box office for tickets for the desired

The box office is located in the Maschinenhaus on the Bürgerbräu grounds. Single tickets cost €8.50.
