As part of the 52nd International Film Festival Wuerzburg, Bayern 2 Zuendfunk is coming to the Maschinenhaus – with a live broadcast followed by a Zuendfunk party. The festival organizers are delighted about this special collaboration between cinema and radio.
On Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 7:05 p.m., the Zuendfunk live broadcast, a program in the “Stadtwerke” series, will start and run until 8:00 pm – expressly with an audience. Filmmakers, festival staff, and guests will be interviewed on site; the team will provide behind-the-scenes insights and let viewers experience how radio is created in real time. Musically, the focus will be on the city itself: during the broadcast, music from Wuerzburg bands will be played – the local scene will provide the soundtrack to the festival, ranging from relaxed to energetic.
Afterwards, Zuendfunk DJs Achim Bogdahn and Wolfram Hanke will take over the controls: first with a relaxed warm-up, later with dance music. Those who want to continue talking after the films can simply stay in the Maschinenhaus and chat while listening to music. Those who want to dance will also find their place. The atmosphere is open, accessible, and relaxed – a night where no one needs to feel out of place.
