Margot kann nicht mehr. Ihr Leben droht an ihrer Alkohl- und Drogensucht zu zerbrechen. Sie lässt sich in eine Entzugseinrichtung in einem Landhaus mitten im Nirgendwo einweisen. Dort trifft sie auf Menschen zwischen 18 und 50 Jahren, die unterschiedlicher nicht sein könnten und die doch etwas eint: ihre Sucht und Verzweiflung und zugleich ihre Stärke und ihr Wille, sich der Sucht zu stellen. Margots Alltag besteht ab jetzt aus Therapiesitzungen, gemeinsamen Hausarbeiten, manchmal gemütlichen, manchmal konfliktreichen Abenden im Gemeinschaftsraum. Die Bewohner beginnen, sich immer mehr zu öffnen, ihren Gefühlen näher zu kommen und sich ihren blinden Flecken zu stellen. Auch Margot begreift zunehmend, dass es für sie keinen anderen Weg gibt, als sich ihren Verletzungen zu stellen. Margot cannot go on like this. Her life is threatened by her addiction to alcohol and drugs. She decides to admit herself to a detox facility in a country house in the middle of nowhere. There she meets people between the ages of 18 and 50 who couldn’t be more different but who are united by not only their addiction and despair but also their strength and will to face the addiction. From now on, Margot’s everyday life consists of therapy sessions, common household chores and sometimes cosy, sometimes conflict-laden evenings in the common room. The residents begin to open up more and more, getting closer to their feelings and facing their blind spots. Margot also understands that there is no other way for her than to face her injuries.
