The whole world is in short film fever – and so is Würzburg! The Short Film Day on the shortest day of the year presented by Filminitiative Würzburg e.V. in cooperation with Kellerperle.
The KURZFILMTAG 2011 was born in France as “Le jour le plus court”. It has been held in Germany since 2012 and is coordinated by AG Kurzfilm, the German Short Film Association. The Short Film Day has meanwhile developed into an internationally significant cultural event, with more than 20 countries taking part.
In Würzburg, of course, the Filminitiative Würzburg e.V. will also be taking part in this event and will be showing the programme “Shorts Attack – GOLDEN SHORTS” on 21.12.19 from 8 p.m. in the wonderful Kellerperle. Picturesque madness meets fairytale film and children’s horror: Golden Shorts gathers nine short films that reflect the world and life in a way suitable for december. A child will come and a knight will save an influencer from the dragon. Animation characters experience identity illumination and the elderly jump into the fountain of youth.
With this programme, the Filminitiative Würzburg e.V. wants to shorten the longest night of the year and provide a foretaste of the 46th International Film Weekend, which will take place from 30 January to 02 February 2020 in the Central on the Bürgerbräu premises.
And as a delicacy, 2 x 2 free tickets for the International Film Weekend 2020 will be raffled off after the film screening. The shortest day of the year couldn’t be more beautiful…
