At the faculty of design in Würzburg one studies communication design. And the communication designer is happy with any means. Especially film. The most effective and most beautiful way to design communication. From real film to animation to motion design, from representational to abstract, from realistic to artistic. Thus, in the context of “Chamber Flickering”, we can once again enjoy selected animated and live action films from the moving image courses of the Faculty of Design.
Last year, students from the higher semesters were intensively involved with the “Generation Instagram”, among other things. Meanwhile, the younger semesters took their first exciting steps in the field of film on the theme of “Beginning, Middle, End” – and here, too, things have become so good that it calls for a screening in front of an audience. In addition, the films that are still being made during the current semester will see the light of day during the “Chamber Flickering”. Thus, animation projects from the courses “That’s Infotainment” and “I move, therefore I am” will be shown – complemented by some just finished final theses. In short: This year again, the audience of the “Chamber Flickering” can look forward to probably the most diversified 90 minutes of the Film Festival.
