Dear film fans,
The time has come: The 49th International Film Festival opens its doors. The preparations of the organizing Filminitiative Wuerzburg e.V. are in the final stages. A look at the recently published screening schedule reveals that the projectors will start up at 5:00 pm on the dot.
Already before, starting from 2:00 pm, both online reservation and the reservation hotline (+49 931 78 02 38 88) are switched on. The reserved tickets must be picked up at the box office in the Maschinenhaus 30 minutes before the film starts, otherwise they expire and go back on sale.
One hour later, from 3:00 pm, ticket sales also start – exclusively at the box office stands in the Maschinenhaus. Individual tickets still cost 7.50 euros. Admission for children to the film Mission Ulja Funk is 3.50 euros. The screening of The Self-Made Ones 4 euros, and for the popular Silent Film Matinee on Sunday morning 15 euros are due.
For the first time, individual designated cash desks are also equipped with terminals for debit and credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, American Express).
As usual, an information desk will be manned by film experts during peak hours to guide hesitant visitors on the right track. The call of the film initiative for new helpers – especially with regard to the following 50th film festival in 2024 – can also be met by festival guests here: By filling out and dropping in a card with their name and contact details.
