Die Sieger der Publikumspreise beim 39. Internationalen Filmwochenende Würzburg stehen fest. In der Spielfilmkategorie überzeugte die italienische Produktion "Io sono Li" das Publikum am meisten. Den zweiten Platz belegte "Zwei Leben" (D/N), den dritten der irische Film "Jump". Der Gewinner gehörte zum Themenschwerpunkt "Flucht. Asyl. Immigration" und handelte von einer nach Italien eingewanderten Chinesin, die sich in einen einheimischen Fischer verliebt - zum Entsetzen sowohl ihrer als auch seiner Landsleute.

In der Kategorie Dokumentarfilm wählten die Kinobesucher "Drei Brüder à la carte" von Silvia Häselbarth aus der Schweiz (Foto) aufs oberste Treppchen. Auf den Plätzen folgen der rumänische Film "Lumea vazuta de Ion B." und "De Andre" aus Norwegen. Die Sieger der weiteren Kategorien sind: Kurzfilm: 1. Platz "Welcome to Bavaria", 2. Platz "Aquel no era yo", 3. Platz "Gefallen". Selbstgedrehte: "Brotherly".

Movies, movies, movies – the 39th International Filmwochenende Würzburg had its official start on yesterday’s March 14th with the German-Norwegian film “Zwei Leben” by Georg Maas. Over the course of the next three days a wide-ranging choice of feature films, kid’s movies, shorts, and documentaries will be presented to interested filmfans.

Unfortunately, Thomas Arslan’s movie “Gold“ won’t be screened at the “Filmwochenende”. Instead, we’re pleased to present the film “Silvi” by Nico Sommer. “Silvi” ran at the Berlinale in the category “Perspektive Deutsches Kino”, where it was received enthusiastically.

The Turkish movie “Ana Dilim Nerede“ has to be cancelled due to technical reasons on Thursday; the screening at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday will take place however.
