| | | Paris - in the wealthy areas of the city, maid's rooms still exist on top floors of appartment buildings, right under the roof. Today these rooms are rented out by different people having the same wish, residing in the capital, even if it is in a very narrow space. The film is showing the life of six women all different in age, ethnic background and social stratum. The director has filmed the day to day life of these residents, thus highlighting their difficulties in living in such a small habitat, but also revealing elements of their lives through personal objects and life stories.
