| Farbe | 121 min | | | A story about guilt and revenge set against the backdrop of Vienna’s rural Austria. Alex is a driver and henchman for brothel owner Konecny. He is having an affair with Tamara, one of boss’ prostitutes. Alex and Tamara want to escape their life, but they need money first. Alex devises a plan to rob a bank on the countryside. Tamara wants to come along, and Alex reluctantly agrees. Having cased the bank in advance, the raid itself is a pushover. Everything goes exactly as planned until Robert, a policeman, shows up on the scene. He fires a few shots at the getaway car as it speeds off and hits Tamara. She dies and Alex’ world collapses. He seeks refuge with his grandfather, who runs a dilapidated farm on the edge of the forest. Robert the policeman lives nearby. After arriving, Alex meets Susanne, Robert’s wife. The lives of these three people dramatically change as a result of Tamara’s death – more radically than they suspect.
