I made this film at the film school in Berlin. My fellow students inspired me. The description of their future film projects – “I see the story in blue, leading part Jeanne Moreau”, gave me the impulse to do “Ich”. The pattern however gave me an interview in the newspaper “taz” with filmmaker Wim Wenders. Both the questions and the answers incorporated the film. In so doing “Ich” is in equal measure a parody of the image cultivation of some filmmakers and the willing publicity for them of some journalists.
